Good evening, everyone, and welcome to GoldenShire. Today, I want to share something truly special about the foundation of our community here: the six patron saints who guide and inspire our vision for GoldenShire. These saints—St. Mary, St. Joseph, St. Jude, St. Benedict, St. Isidore, and St. Maximilian Kolbe—are more than patrons; they are the spiritual roots of this land, each representing values that resonate deeply with our mission and purpose.
First, we turn to St. Mary, our Blessed Mother, who stands as the heart of GoldenShire. We look to her for her love, purity, and compassion, guiding us to treat each other and the land with respect and care. As our Sancta Mater Dei, we ask her to keep GoldenShire close to her Immaculate Heart, so that everything we build here is founded on love and humility.
Then, we have St. Joseph, the strong, silent protector of families and workers. St. Joseph reminds us of the dignity in hard work and the virtue of quiet strength. As the patron of builders, he inspires our mission to create regenerative, self-sustaining environments. His humble spirit encourages us to work with integrity as we build a community of families who live close to the earth and embrace its blessings.
Our third patron is St. Jude, the saint of impossible causes. GoldenShire is indeed a big vision—to build regenerative villages that nurture families, restore the soil, and revive a way of life close to the land. St. Jude teaches us to persevere, even in challenging times, and reminds us that no goal is too great when approached with faith. His intercession gives us courage to pursue what others might consider impossible.
Next is St. Benedict, who holds a special place in GoldenShire. His Rule inspired a way of life grounded in prayer and work, or ora et labora. Just as he inspired the foundation of the Farmers of the Immaculata fraternity, he also guides us to live with discipline, balance, and purpose. At GoldenShire, his influence reminds us that our daily labor—whether building, planting, or harvesting—is also a prayer, a means to grow closer to God.
St. Isidore, the patron of farmers, is central to our agricultural vision here at GoldenShire. He was a humble man, faithful in the ordinary tasks of farming, and he reminds us that to till the earth is a holy task. Through him, we see that caring for the land is not only an act of stewardship but a way to honor God. His simplicity and humility inspire us to approach our work with gratitude and reverence for creation.
Finally, St. Maximilian Kolbe, our sixth patron, is a model of Marian devotion and dedication to spreading the faith. His Knights of the Immaculata inspire us to live with zeal for our faith and devotion to Mary. St. Kolbe’s love for Mary is a reminder to us to entrust ourselves to her guidance, to live in her grace, and to draw strength from her love as we build this community. His example of unwavering dedication to his mission inspires us to bring faith into action and to create a community rooted in charity, kindness, and love for others.
These six saints form the spiritual foundation of GoldenShire. They guide us, inspire us, and remind us of the higher purpose behind our work. As we grow and build this community, we seek their intercession and strive to live by their virtues, to become stewards of this land and of one another in a way that honors God.
Thank you all for being part of this journey, and may God bless GoldenShire and each one of us as we carry forward the spirit of these great saints.
