Overview:

The GIDS is a weekend-long, all-inclusive deep dive into the regenerative practices and agritourism model that defines GoldenShire. This hands-on seminar combines education in regenerative farming, immersive hospitality, and practical skills in homesteading. Modeled after PolyFace’s intensive seminar but with a unique GoldenShire twist, GIDS provides guests with a comprehensive understanding of regenerative systems in action.

What You’ll Experience:

1. Foundations of Regenerative Agriculture

• Learn the principles that guide GoldenShire’s approach to soil and land regeneration. Discover the blend of mycology, agroforestry, and polyculture that sustains our organic farm ecosystem.

2. Pasture-Raised Poultry and Rotational Grazing

• Engage with our poultry operations, learning hands-on methods for managing pastured chickens, using chicken tractors, and implementing rotational grazing.

3. Regenerative Homestead Design

• Explore the design elements of modular regenerative homesteads. Learn about sustainable building, the permaculture lakes, hardscaped elements, and water catchment systems integrated into GoldenShire’s landscape.

4. Aquascaping and Water Management

• Delve into aquascaping with our koi ponds, fishing lakes, and natural irrigation systems. Gain insights into how these features enhance biodiversity and sustainability.

5. Farm-to-Table Hospitality

• Experience our farm-to-table approach firsthand. Discover how we create unforgettable guest experiences and manage our organic market garden, cabin rentals, and on-site dining.

6. Soil Health and Composting Techniques

• Participate in hands-on soil regeneration activities, including composting, mycology layering, and the use of earthworms to rebuild soil health.

7. Fungal Farming for Soil Enrichment
